Walmart & Sam’s Clubs – Fundraising to Help Kids Live Better

Again this year, Walmart & Sam’s Club associates pulled out all the stops to raise funds during their campaign to Help Kids Live Better!  Beginning on June 13 and working tirelessly for 4 weeks, associates in every location asked their customers to join them in their support of families at KU Medical Center by asking for donations throughout the stores.  Customers were given the opportunity to give no matter how they shopped or checked out:  through the traditional check-out line, self-check-out, online grocery pick-up or even when they made a purchase online.    

In addition to the donations they were raising from their generous customers, associates planned a variety of events for their employees (and customers!) to participate in and have a little fun during this busy time.  From dressing in crazy costumes, hosting cookouts and even hosting “pet adoptions”, the stores continue to be very creative in how they are raising funds to help the kids!
