Pizza Pies and Miracle Kids…FANTASTICO!!

Our fundraising partner, Sarpino’s Pizza threw caution to the wind and let seven of our very own CMN Miracle Kids take over the kitchen at their location in Overland Park, KS, for a very special task. They were asked to create a delicious and “menu worthy” pizza that was uniquely their own using all of Sarpino’s signature ingredients. A panel of judges, which included two Sarpino’s owners, our very own CMN staffer, Katie Walden and Dr. Mike Lewis from KU Medical Center Pediatrics had the honor of tasting each pizza and picking the top three pies that will featured on Sarpino’s online menu from September to December. The judges definitely had their work cut out for them and their top 3 favorites were:  

• 1^st Place: Becca’s Basil Blast –  Alfredo & Pesto Sauce, Chicken, Sun Dried Tomatoes, Spinach, Basil and Onions

• 2^nd Place: Hans’ Hansy Pizza – Pesto Sauce, Chicken, Garlic and Parmesan

• 3^rd Place: Chloe’s Pizzeria Pizza – BBQ Sauce, Pepperoni, Red and Green Peppers
