Extra Life United Participants Win for the KC Heartland

Extra Life United (ELU) provided some semblance of normalcy for our gamers while still allowing some to participate virtually if they chose. Extra Life United was held during Children’s Hospitals Week, April 12-15, 2022. ELU participants competed in a variety of games with their wining being donated to their preferred CMN Hospital.

KC Heartland gamers always make a strong showing at ELU, and this year was no different. Futiles finished second in Splendor and 8^th place in Catan, bringing home $2,450 for Children’s Miracle Network at KU Medical Center. We had a three-way tie for 4^th place in Pokemon Unite Virtual between iDraxis, *fin, and T3rdEye with each winning $240. iDraxis finished in 8^th place playing Fall Guys Virtual and 10^th place playing Halo Infinite Virtual, adding $925 to their 2022 winnings for the KC Heartland. Finally, Medieval Melody brought home $925 by placing 5^th in Kingdomino Duel and 9^th Place in Onitama.

Overall, our skilled and dedicated Extra Life Participants won $5,020 for kids treated at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
