2023 Westlake Ace GM Conference: Celebrating Success & Wrapping Local Kids in Care

Our CMN team was honored to participate in this year’s Westlake Ace Hardware General Managers Conference in February. Representing 154 Westlake Ace locations across 12 states, General Managers came together for a few days to kick off the business year ahead and celebrate Children’s Miracle Network fundraising successes including an amazing $1,067,811 raised last year!

Participants were also treated to a dynamic guest speaker, Joe Tillery, the 2015 Kansas National Champion, and Miracle (big) Kid who has received all his care at KU Medical Center. Joe shared the impact that CMN has made on life and how his Cystic Fibrosis care at KUMC helped him achieve his greatest accomplished to date: K-State Graduate.

CMN was also grateful to be the recipient of Westlake Ace’s Salute to Service project for this year’s meeting. Following Joe’s presentation, General Mangers worked together and made over 100 tie-blankets for kids being served at KU Medical Center. These cozy comforts will help remind every child that they are not alone in their healthcare journey and are wrapped in care as they heal.
