KC Gamers Win Big for KU Medical Center in at Extra Life United Competition

This July, Children’s Miracle Network hosted the first-ever Ignite Peer-to-Peer Leadership Conference, welcoming gamers, hospital representatives, Champion families, and student fundraisers from across the nation for the conference in Kansas City.

The conference also featured the annual Extra Life United tournament for board gamers and video gamers, which featured a $150,000 USD prize pool with winnings going to the winners’ selected local member hospitals. 141 Extra Lifers won funds at Extra Life United benefiting 55 member hospitals!

Eighteen gamers representing KU Medical Center competed in the tournament, winning $9,950 for KUMC Children’s Miracle Network while also raising over $2,000 through personal fundraising efforts that weekend. We’re incredibly proud of their achievements! It was a fantastic weekend in Kansas City!
