Be More Monday – Denise Hastings

Happy #BeMoreMonday Kansas City! We are particularly excited to introduce you to this week’s champion, Denise Hastings! After 13 years as CMN Champion at Walmart #5307 in Gardner, Kansas, Denise is retiring!

We know she will have extra time now to dedicate to some of her favorite things, particularly her family. She loves family dinners, especially when that dinner is either Mexican, Japanese, seafood or steak! We know her family is itching for sports to come back because their “house divided” loves to bond by cheering on OU, KU, or K-State (Denise is a proud Jayhawk fan). They can agree, however, to dutifully support the Chiefs and Royals all together.

Luckily, Denise can pass the time before athletics get back on TV by watching some of her favorite shows, like The Good Doctor, Blue Bloods, FBI’s Most Wanted and Grey’s Anatomy.

We wish Denise the absolute best, but we know she will miss leading her team in fundraising for CMN each year. She has recalled that her favorite part about being involved with CMN is meeting the families and hearing their stories. She has also loved getting creative with fundraising ideas and fostering excitement within the store.  Whoever comes next as the CMN Champion at #5307 has big shoes to fill!
