KC MAVERICKS- Just a bunch of teddy bears!

When you think of hockey, you think of players fighting over a puck, but…teddy bears?  Not so much!  On December 1, the Kansas City Mavericks held their annual Teddy Bear toss night, where fans bring new stuffed animals by the armful and throw them onto the ice each time the Mavs score a goal.   Children’s Miracle Network is honored to be the beneficiary of this fun event and received hundreds of bears to be used in the hospital and clinics at the University of Kansas Health System.  These snuggly bears are helpful to our healthcare teams when they need to encourage our smallest patients through some challenging procedures.
