Be More Monday- Joe Blackshere

Happy #BeMoreMonday! Today, we are excited to introduce you to a 16 year Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals champion, Joe Blackshere. Joe is the Senior Manager of Operations Support with Westlake Ace Hardware.

Joe’s dedication to his family and passion for the children supported by #CMNH is admired by many! This year, Joe was awarded the “Rock On” award by Ace Hardware for his personal and professional support of Children’s Miracle Network!
In addition to being a champion and advocate for Children’s Miracle Network within the Westlake Ace Hardware organization, Joe has personally raised over $10,000 and logged over 4,000 miles by participating in two Ace Foundation Miracle Mission bike rides.
When he isn’t at work or on his bike, you can find Joe vacationing, camping, watching movies, supporting the Kansas City home teams, and being his kid’s #1 cheerleader alongside his wife and golden-doodle dog, Chester.
Joe Blackshere is more than an Ace associate, dog lover, sports fan, and movie buff…he has a heart for CMN.
In his own words:
“[My favorite thing about CMN is] their mission and purpose. I am incredibly grateful that I am able to spend professional and personal time working on something I find truly significant. I am certain my brother and I growing up caused our single hardworking mom many sleepless nights with all of our hospital visits. Treatment was never turned away due to our inability to pay, as an adult, CMN allows me the opportunity to pay it back, and pay it forward.”
